An online 'Ask Me Anything' event with Shireen Morris

Join Dr. Shireen Morris as she answers all your last remaining questions on the Voice to Parliament referendum, as we head to the booths in just over a weeks time.

A night of empowerment

Wednesday 4 October, 7:00pm

Join us in person for a night of engagement, education and empowerment as we learn from Nicole and Jacqui about the Voice to Parliament through their unique workshop called "Walking Together".

This workshop is a great opportunity to become more informed about our history and reconciliation in the lead up to the Voice to Parliament Referendum in October. In the Uluru Statement from the Heart, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have called for a Voice to Parliament and issued an invitation to all Australians to walk with them for a better future.

 

 

THE VOICE - ADELAIDE: A conversation to answer your questions

Join Kol Halev, Multicultural Alliance for Yes, Beit Shalom, Welcoming Australia, Activate Church, Fair Go for SA, Australian Sikh Support, Hazara's for Yes and AUJS for an evening discussion about the Voice to Parliament. This is a unique opportunity to hear from experts such as Dr. Shireen Morris and Khatija Thomas on the proposed change to the constitution and have your questions, concerns and confusions answered and addressed in a safe and supportive environment.

Come and discuss the upcoming Voice to Parliament referendum, with a focus on understanding what the Voice to Parliament is through a female lens - by hearing from fabulous speakers, Shelley Ware (proud Yankunytjatjara, Kokatha and Wirangu woman from Tandanya/Adelaide who currently lives in Naarm/Melbourne and is a highly regarded AFL media presenter and MC) and Nicky Friedman (Chair of Together Yes, Deputy Chair of Victorian Women’s Trust and Head of Pro Bono at Allens).

Join us as we hear from diverse views on the Voice to Parliament. Guest speakers - Rabbi Justice Marcus Solomon (Rabbi and Judge of the Supreme Court WA), Marcus Stewart (Nira Illim bulluk man, immediate past Co-Chair of First Peoples' Assembly Victoria and YES representative) and Louise Clegg (Public and Employment lawyer, barrister and NO representative). With moderation by Rabbi Elton (The Great Synagogue) and Rabbi Wolff (Central Synagogue).
