The Trailblazer Retreat is a three-day intensive for Jewish young adults (18-30) who care deeply about the world around them, and are ready to turn that care into action.
Driven by the Jewish values and teachings of Tzedek Tzedek Tirdof: (justice, justice shall you pursue) and Tikkun Middot (personal and ethical growth), participants will form a cohort of impassioned leaders, exploring who they are, what they care about, and how they want to show up as leaders in their communities.
The Trailblazer Retreat creates a space for emerging leaders to clarify purpose, build confidence, and develop a tangible project or idea for implementation, while forming lasting connections with a connected cohort.
This is not about having all the answers. It’s about building the tools, networks and practical steps to begin.

What the Retreat Offers
The program blends personal reflection, skill-building and mentorship. Participants will:
-
Build on understanding of self (values, strengths and lived experiences)
Understand how this can be channelled for impact. -
Turn passion into action
Develop a clear goal or project, with practical steps to bring it to life. -
Learn in community
Be part of an empowering and supportive cohort of young Jewish people, building relationships that continue beyond the program. -
Think long-term
Reflect on the bigger picture: what kind of change matters most.
Who It’s For
This Retreat is designed for young Jewish adults (18-30) who are:
- Motivated by social action, justice or community impact
- Interested in leadership, education or creating change in Jewish and broader society
- Seeking connection with peers who share values and a sense of responsibility
You don’t need a polished project or formal leadership experience - just a willingness to show up, listen and participate.
The Experience
- A small cohort (max. 14 participants) to foster networks and meaningful connection
- An immersive, experiential weekend retreat, designed to feel supportive and rejuvenating
- Pre- and post-programs to strengthen relationships and momentum
- A growing alumni network, offering continued connection and collaboration into the future
Beyond the Retreat
The cohort doesn’t disappear after the weekend.
Participants will be invited into an ongoing alumni network, with opportunities to stay connected, continue developing their ideas, and contribute to a wider ecosystem of young Jewish leadership.
$500 seed funding is available for select projects that emerge from the retreat to kickstart projects.
Participation is subsidised to remove financial barriers, with the expectation that fellows remain engaged, contribute to the community, and carry the learning forward.
