Who we are

At Stand Up, we inspire a community of social justice changemakers and provide a vehicle for Jewish Australians to engage in communities more vulnerable than ourselves.

We do this as part of our Jewish values, our pursuit for social justice and to ignite passion within the next generation of Jewish leaders to become changemakers for a better world.

20 Years of Derech Eretz

Stand Up is celebrating 20 years of partnership with the Indigenous communities of Toomelah and Boggabilla and our Derech Eretz program.

Affectionately known as ‘The Jewish Mob’, we have seen our communities grow from allies, to friends, to family. The Derech Eretz program is a unique opportunity for Jewish participants to connect with this First Nations community, fostering a deep, mutual connection.

Program Feature: Break Bread

Sharing a meal opens a window to connection. It's a powerful way to hear someone's story and celebrate our differences. Consider who in your network might want to experience Jewish culture or share their own—it can be as simple as setting extra places at your Shabbat or chag (festival) table.

Join Stand Up’s Break Bread initiative to share culture, celebrate diversity, and discover what bonds us. We provide a host guide and resources to support you along the way.
