Derech Eretz July 2026: Applications Open!
For over 20 years, Stand Up has fostered meaningful partnerships between the Australian Jewish community and the predominantly Aboriginal communities of Toomelah and Boggabilla in Northern NSW. At the heart of this connection is Derech Eretz (Hebrew for “way of the land”) - a program that brings young Jewish adults (18–26) together with these communities.
Derech Eretz participants facilitate school holiday activities for local youth, engage with Community members and Elders, and take part in educational sessions that address the gaps in Australia’s mainstream curriculum regarding First Nations histories and cultures.
Stand Up will deliver an 9-night Derech Eretz trip from Sunday July 5th - Tuesday July 14th in Collaboration with AUJS
