In this informal yarning circle, we’ll hear from Aunty Trish, who comes from Cherbourg, an Aboriginal community near Brisbane.

Cherbourg is on Barambah Creek, within Wakka Wakka lands and close to the Gubbi Gubbi border.

Come Together is Stand Up’s truth-telling program that brings First Nations stories and histories into Jewish spaces. Aunty Trish will share her personal journey, including her experiences growing up on a mission and working in correctional facilities. 

This session is a great way to stay connected with First Nations people and stories in a local setting.

Stand Up is committed to fostering and nurturing Jewish social action interests in a meaningful and safe way. Come Together is just one amazing program we have to offer our Jewish community members.
