Stand Up is powered by the support of the community.

We hope the Step Up program has given you the opportunity to take that critical step up into your Jewish adulthood by understanding the responsibilities and challenges that come with it. We hope it’s inspired you to make social justice a part of what you will contribute to the world as a compassionate, empathetic and creative young Jewish adult.

Many attendees have gone on to become empowered young Jewish Australians and leaders in their community, guided by core Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Tzedakah (justice) and Chessed (kindness) to create positive change in the world.

The Step Up experience is not possible without the support of the community. While we charge a participation fee to enter, we still rely on the generosity of the community to make the program a reality. If your family would like to pay it forward to help ensure that other young Jewish people get to participate in Step Up, you can make a tax deductible donation to Stand Up’s work.

Option 1: One-off donation

Make a one-off donation to help someone participate in Step Up if they can't afford the participation fee themselves - or ask your guests to make a donation in lieu of gifts directly to Stand Up.

Option 2: Set up your own "simcha" page

Many of our supporters are passionate about social justice issues and choose to donate to Stand Up in lieu of Simcha gifts, like Elliya did in 2021, as a way of paying it forward. If you'd like to set this up, you can request it here.

Option 3: Donate through JCA in NSW/ACT

As you know, Stand Up is now a supported member of the JCA Family of Communal Organisations. If you live in NSW or ACT, please consider making a donation to Stand Up directly through JCA. This can be done via the JCA website and following the links to make a "Program Donation". Look for our name and your generous donation will be directed to us.
