As one of our core objects, Stand Up is committed to providing support, care and humanitarian relief to people experiencing or affected by poverty, hardship or disadvantage in Australia and overseas.
When an emergency arises, Stand Up will proudly support the emergency relief and rebuild efforts of IsraAID.
UNFOLDING EVENTS IN ISRAEL
IsraAID is partnering with local organizations and civil society initiatives working in Israel's south and with evacuees to support their efforts, focusing on psychosocial support, stress relief activities, and relief supplies as needed.
IsraAID’s response is funded by IsraAID’s Emergency Fund. Supporters who wish to donate online can do so through Stand Up and all proceeds will be directed to IsraAID. We would also like to encourage supporters to give to partner organizations providing emergency first aid to survivors, including Magen David Adom, United Hatzalah, and other verified organizations.

Stand Up and IsraAID
IsraAID is the largest humanitarian aid organisation in Israel. Similar to Stand Up, IsraAID collaborates deeply with communities in an approach they call "Communities First". From the IsraAID website:
The communities (they) work with supply local knowledge, experience, people-power and tools. (They) deliver technologies, resources, and long-developed professional expertise (oftentimes from Israel, which has a lot of experience with trauma, water scarcity, and disaster relief and preparedness).
IsraAID is usually at the forefront in responding to major humanitarian crises worldwide including earthquakes, hurricanes, epidemics and forced displacement. To read more about the work of IsraAID and their current operations, please visit their website.
In February 2023, in response to the devastating earthquakes that claimed the lives of over 50,000 people in Turkey and Syria, Stand Up led the Jewish Communal Emergency Appeal response in support of the work of IsraAID.
