AUJS x Derech Eretz Application Form: July 2024

For the past 19 years, Stand Up has facilitated opportunities for partnership between the Australian Jewish community and the predominantly-Aboriginal communities of Toomelah and Boggabilla, which are based in Northern NSW. This has largely occurred through the Derech Eretz program, which translates to “way of the land”.

Derech Eretz invites young Jewish adults (aged 18-30) to facilitate school holiday activities for Toomelah and Boggabilla’s youth, meet with community adults and Elders and engage in sessions designed to bridge the gaps of Australia’s mainstream education system in relation to First Nations Australia. In 2024, Stand Up and AUJS will co-deliver a one week Derech Eretz trip, from July 8-16.
