Step Up Intensive Programs: 

Step Up intensives are a holiday program designed to explore social justice in the world around us.
Combining elements of our term program with excursions, intensive programs are a great way to get your child thinking about the challenges facing our global community.

Topics covered in the program:

  • What is happening in the world my place in it
  • Extreme poverty & wealth inequality
  • Asylum seekers & migrants
  • Reconciliation & First Nation peoples
  • Allyship & responsibility
  • Taking action

At Stand Up, we are committed to playing our part in helping young people understand the social justice landscape, while inspiring them to make their own invaluable contribution to the Jewish and wider community                                                                     

Our Step Up education program is designed to give B'nei Mitzvah aged students the opportunity to take a step up into their Jewish adulthood and to understand the responsibilities and challenges that come with that, grappling with these questions through an innovative social justice experience. Step Up enhances the Bar/Bat Mitzvah year by providing a pivotal learning curve for students to gain a greater understanding of the world around them. The program empowers young Jewish Australians to become leaders in their community, guided by core Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world), Tzedakah (justice) and Chessed (kindness) to create positive change in the world.

Thank you for your payment to attend Stand Up's Step Up program.

We are very excited to meet you and begin our social justice journey together!

Hopefully you have just completed the Child Registration Form to advise us of your child's needs and details.

Please use the link above if you got lost or if you brought multiple tickets and so need to register more than one child.


Two weeks before the program start date we will send out specific details regarding the program including the location and any other relevant information. Please keep your eyes on your inbox for this information. 

  • Please note that our programs often include excursions, and you child may be venturing off-site.
     
  • Also note that Stand Up observe High Holidays, so sometimes we need to vary the schedule slightly to take account of these when they arise.
