Shai Pik

As the Refugee Partnerships Coordinator, Shai facilitates programs that seek to close gaps that entrench social disadvantage for many in the refugee community. These programs help foster meaningful relationships, and build support and empathy between the Jewish and Sudanese refugee communities in Melbourne. Shai is developing a wealth of experience in the NFP world, having also been the Israel Programs Coordinator for Habonim Dror Australia and working as a support worker within the Melbourne Foster Care system. Shai is currently completing her Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) and Psychology at RMIT University. Always driven by her humanist and egalitarian values, Shai seeks to understand and address intersecting issues in her work that maintain social disadvantage in order to pursue social justice.
