Camp Connections (Teens Program)

< back

Innovative leadership training for Aboriginal teens in Toomelah and Boggabilla with a focus on personal development and career pathways.

Our teens (aka Camp Connections) program has developed as a result of the long-term relationship between Stand Up and the communities of Toomelah and Boggabilla. This program works with young people who have often been part of Stand Up’s youth program (Derech Eretz) as they continue to grow into young community leaders.

The program provides the teenagers with structured activities to support leadership and self-esteem, as well as fun games and activities.

Camp Connections also aims to build a peer support network between the youth and Stand Up mentors.

What: 7-10 day camp, team building activities, cooking, playing, hiking, swimming, teaching, leadership development.
Where: Toomelah and Boggabilla, NSW
