Innovative leadership training for the Aboriginal young adults of Toomelah and Boggabilla with a focus on personal development and career pathways.

The Leadership Retreat is for young adults from the communities of Toomelah and Boggabilla, providing an opportunity to partake in team building activities, work on goal setting, discuss and plan for their future aspirations and training/study/employment goals.

The Leadership Retreat has developed from the long-term relationship between Stand Up and the communities of Toomelah and Boggabilla. The program focuses on developing confidence and leadership skills for senior school students and recent graduates. The program builds a peer support network between the youth and Stand Up mentors.

What:  7 – 10 day camp including team building activities, goal setting, cooking, hiking, swimming, leadership skills and mentoring.

Where: Toomelah, Boggabilla and Sydney – NSW

When: January school holidays

Who: This program is for Alumni (returning volunteers) only
